Celebrate National Poetry Month with a challenge: write a poem a day. To help inspire your poetic fire, poets Danell Jones and Anna Paige are offering a Poem-A-Day workshop designed to ignite your poetic creativity.
Danell and Anna will challenge you to try to write a poem—a draft of a poem, a fragment of poetry, or even just an idea for a poem—every day of the month. The Poem-a-Day workshop kick-offs with a free instructional workshop on Saturday, April 1 from 1-3PM at This House of Books (224 N. Broadway). Paid classes continue on Thursdays, April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at Better To Gather, 2404 Montana Avenue. Poetry prompts for paid participants will be emailed daily. Weekly workshop will give participants a chance to share work, practice poetic techniques, and receive feedback and guidance on poems.
Cost for the workshop $145, and attendees do not have to be located in Billings to participate online. Out-of-town attendees will receive the daily prompt and can send in up to three poems a week for feedback. Cost for the online only workshop is $99.
