Intro to Soldering

Soldering is such a versatile skill to have. Use it for creating beautiful jewelry, or for stained glass, or even some of those around the house home improvement projects. This class will teach you the basics of this more-intimidating-than-it-is-difficult skill and give you the confidence to later tackle some of those amazing projects you've seen floating around the web, but have been too nervous to try.

Your teacher, Beth Lamphier of Le Jardin Girl collections, has a unique eye for photography and over the years has come up with some really cool ways for displaying her photographic work. Among those is creating a soldered frame to house a work of art behind glass. She's going to show us the basics of soldering for the purpose of creating a unique stain glass style frame for our own personal works of art or collections.

Important: Please bring a 5x7 print, photograph, or 2 dimensional art piece or specimen ie: butterfly wings, pressed flowers, etc... and you'll create a soldered frame or pendant for your works of art.

or check out her photographic work here!
