THERESA + KYLE - BILLINGS DEPOT | Simple, Relaxed & Elegant

Theresa and her Mom met with our Event Designer, Lindsay in the heart of Billings' snowiest winter! Their June wedding still felt so far away and everyone was dreaming of blue skies and warmer days. The bride and her family own and operate a ranch in Billings with expansive South East Montana views and blue skies were exactly what Mother Nature delivered on their wedding day. The family held the ceremony at the Khulman's ranch in Billings, MT and the weather couldn't have been better although heavy rain storms the days leading up to their wedding day had everyone on their toes. The ranch was the perfect ceremony location for this hardworking ranching couple and the best place for their friends and family to watch them exchange their vows. If you want an to experience an authentic working MT. ranch consider registering for one of their trail rides here.

After the ceremony the Bride & Groom and their nearest and dearest made their way to their Billings Depot reception. The bride and her designer worked together to develop a cohesive plan for the design of the decor for their reception space. The design elements that were chosen were selected in a way to best reflect the couples personality. They wanted to keep things simple and make sure the room had a welcoming and casual small town celebration feel. We brought warm bistro overhead lighting into the space and utilized the length of the space to fit their 300+ head count and their live band. Two wood and metal topped tables stood together to make one large farmhouse table for the bridal party to dine together at focal point of the room. Wall and ceiling drapes made up of various textured ribbons and twinkle lights drew eyes further to the focal end of the room and provided a stunning backdrop to the evenings dinner, toasts and dancing events.

The family hand made the wood centerpiece planter boxes which they personalized with the couple's brand or with horseshoes from the bride's trail and outfitters business. The historic depot allows for real candlelight as long as the flame is enclosed so the mix of tables included floral or candlelight which offered dimension to the guest tables. Our custom wood lathe wall made for the perfect rustic backdrop for the bride and grooms cake that stood on a table made of two wood barrels and a wood topper. All the little details combined enhanced the space and really completed the look and feel they were looking for.

When this Bride described her vision for her March 2017 wedding at The Billings Depot the first things she mentioned was she wanted it to radiate romance and include lots of light. She was dreaming of an amazingly rich and romantic color palette that included ivory, deep red, and a deep charcoal grey.

We brought her inspiration to life with subtle and soft ivory and champagne fabrics draped in both the ceremony and reception spaces. Crystal candelabras with rich floral toppers of red and white roses brought so much romance and class into the reception.

Bistro ceiling lighting filled the room with warmth. Their guests enjoyed their dinners and conversations at tables adorned with floral centerpieces of varying heights and sizes. During dinner and toasts the newlyweds cuddled together in front of a lush head table backdrop, surrounded by their bridal party, and then danced the night away in front of our tall custom LOVE marquee sculpture. The entire evening radiated class, romance, and love.
